If you join our list we keep your email address and use it to tell you about our events. One email per chapter. We don't sell it, share it, or use it for anything else. You can leave any time with one click.
who we are
Tomato Tomato is an independent event series based in Miami, Florida. For anything on this page, write to management@totomatoto.com.
what we collect
Your email address, and only if you type it into the signup box. That's the only thing we ask for. We don't have accounts, we don't take payments on this site, and we don't ask for your name, phone number or location.
Two things happen automatically that are worth naming:
- Server logs. Our host records the IP address and timestamp of requests. We use this only to stop the signup form being abused, and we don't look at it otherwise.
- Fonts. This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google and Google can see your IP address. We don't control that and we get nothing from it.
There are no analytics, no advertising cookies, and no tracking pixels on this site. We genuinely don't know how many people visit or who they are.
where your email goes
Signups are stored by beehiiv, the newsletter platform we use to send event announcements. Your address sits in their system, governed by their privacy policy as well as this one. They're based in the United States.
what we do with it
We email you when we have a chapter to announce — dates, venue, line-up. That's it. Realistically a handful of emails a year.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your address. We do not pass it to venues, sponsors, or brand partners. If we ever ran an event with a partner, your address would stay with us.
leaving
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you're out, immediately and permanently. You can also email us and we'll remove you by hand.
We keep your address until you unsubscribe. We don't hold onto people who've left.
your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email management@totomatoto.com and we'll sort it out — usually the same week, and at most within 30 days.
If you're in California, that includes the rights under the CCPA to know, delete, and not be discriminated against for asking. If you're in the EU or UK, that includes your GDPR rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Our lawful basis for emailing you is your consent, which you gave by joining the list and can withdraw at any time.
children
Our events are for adults and this site isn't aimed at children. We don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16. If you think we have, tell us and we'll delete it.
changes
If we change how any of this works we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If it's a significant change and you're on the list, we'll tell you by email.
